Walking Rocks?

Query: When I was in Death Valley earlier this year, I saw some enormous 750-pound rocks that appear to travel across the desert on their own. I remembered your article about rock tortoises, and wondered if that’s what these rocks could be?

Corn of Plenty (Part 4 of 4): A Field Guide by Dr. Midas Welby

Corns of the Air: Air-corns utilize their horns for jousting, playing tic-tac-toe, and spearing food in mid-flight. Air-corns often lurk undetected in trees, wood piles, and rain gutters. When bored, they use their horns to ring the doorbells of unsuspecting humans. When the door begins to open, the air-corn flies away.

Pine Cone Feeders

A Present For Imaginaries: When winter comes, I get concerned about providing extra shelter from the elements for Imaginaries. Recently, I read about people who build wildlife brush shelters out of branches and plants in their yards, and thought this was a great idea.

August 6, 2014: I mentioned in an earlier blog that I hoped I would be going to Scotland this year. I am pleased to announce that this has come to pass, and I am now enrolled at university here as a full time student.

I arrived here at the beginning of the summer to take several courses in preparation for beginning my first-year studies beginning with the fall term. The summer classes has been challenging and completely engrossing, and I’ve thrown myself into my studies to the exclusion of all else.

I got so busy that I was unable to find the time to post new content in July to this site. Now I’ve had to face the reality that if keeping up my studies this coming term is as demanding as summer school was, I won’t have as much time to devote to the website as I had in the past.

After talking it over with other regular contributors at this site (Gwyneach, Nonny, Bug, etc.), I decided that for the coming term, I’ll try to post new content every other month, instead of every month, to see if I can keep up with the site that way. Of course, if major news breaks in the world of Iranigami, or we need your immediate assistance, I’ll jump in and post as needed.

In the short term, maintenance of the website may suffer as a result of my enrollment at university, but long-term, the work of Iranigami continues to be my top priority. Looking down the road ahead of me, I know that if I do well in my studies, I will be better-equipped to help Imaginaries in more meaningful and practical ways.

As ever, I thank you all for your ongoing support in preserving, protecting, and defending the Imaginaries of our world. - XAX, 236th Keeper of Iranigami
